Peter Evans Named President of U.S. Travel Insurance Association

WARWICK, R.I., April 13, 2015 -- Peter Evans has been elected President of the U.S. Travel Insurance Association (UStiA) for the 2015-2016 term. The UStiA is a non-profit association of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, insurance agencies and related businesses involved in the development, administration and marketing of travel insurance and travel assistance products.
Evans is a nationally recognized insurance expert with over 30 years of industry experience. He previously served numerous roles at the UStiA including Conference Committee Chair, Technology Reporting Chair and Board Member.
"I am proud to have the opportunity to lead the UStiA. One of my primary goals will be to increase the overall awareness of travel insurance in the U.S.," said Evans. "I look forward to collaborating with the members of the UStiA to help strengthen our mission to foster ethical and professional standards of industry conduct, cultivate effective state and federal government relations, and educate consumers."
